Dear Conservation Friend,

 

 

The Saginaw Conservation District needs your support!  As the great poet Lucy Larcom once said: “He who plants a tree, plants hope”.

 

We have been entrusted to act as stewards for the land here in Saginaw County since the Dust Bowl Era of 1947.  Over 50 years have passed since we accepted this challenge, and we have taken on the task of continually meeting the conservation needs of our community.  With this being said, The Saginaw Conservation District is proud to announce the creation of the Saginaw Conservation District Forestry Endowment Fund.

 

This Endowment Fund will be used to support the Saginaw Conservation District’s: tree planting projects, educational programs, forestry support to Saginaw County residents, and finally, a stable future for conservation in YOUR community.

 

The Forestry Endowment fund is managed through the Saginaw Community Foundation, which allows you to take advantage of tax benefits.  Donors to this fund may claim a Michigan income tax credit.  An example may be:  Contribution of $400 less the MI Tax credit of $200, minus the Federal deduction (27% bracket) of $54, which your actual cost may be $146.

 

We have a vision, a vision to provide conservation education and opportunities here in Saginaw County.  We need your help to make this vision come true.  We ask that you please consider donating to our cause by returning Printable Donation Form for the Forestry Endowment Fund by December 31, 2007 and become a Friend of the Saginaw Conservation District- (or Just a friend of Conservation.)-“with your help, we can make great things happen!”
